Victim refused robber's orders to lay down (The Grand Rapids Press)

GRAND RAPIDS -- Kamel Kharroubi was not going to lay down for any robber, even if it meant his life. Kharroubi was working at his Alger Heights jewelry store Oct. 22 when he says Charles Brownlee came into the shop and demanded all the gold jewelry and watches that would fit in a bag.
